After a layoff in February 2020 due to Covid, we found ourselves in our workshop, surrounded by discarded wood and a burning desire to repurpose it into something beautiful. During these moments of reflection, we had a breakthrough – we could craft exquisite jewelry from this reclaimed wood.
As we brainstormed names for our budding business, one stood out like a beacon of hope: Second Nature Jewelry. It perfectly encapsulated our mission to give new life to natural materials and to celebrate the inherent beauty of the world around us.
In January 2021, armed with a pocketful of dreams and the spirit of entrepreneurship, we took a leap of faith and attended our first Atlanta Gift Market. The experience was nothing short of transformative, as we connected with fellow artisans, business owners, and like-minded individuals who shared our passion for sustainability and creativity.
